Thank you for visiting Asian Diet, Nutrition, and Fitness – a place where the positive health influences of several Asian Cultures are combined to provide insights into the things we all need to live healthy, fit, and disease free lives.
The main theme here is that we are what we eat. It is no secret that our bodies require proper nutrients to function as they are designed to and if we feed these marvelous machines properly, they will serve us well.
Modern science has discovered that many of the traditions of ancient races have developed proper diets that provide all of the macro and micro-nutrients we need to have highly effective immune systems, proper function of the organs, high energy levels, proper proportions of fat to muscle, and overall health and well being. Among those ancient races, we will focus on the Asian Diet for its benefits in health, weight loss, and fitness.
Why I want to share? I was born in Indonesia and have lived in Asia all of my life. My husband is from America and we have traveled and lived all over Asia. Our combined interests in health and nutrition, especially from our different perspectives, has allowed us to have open minds to absorb the best health ideas from this region of the world which is famous for its people having long lives, low cholesterol, low body fat, and fewer cases of cancer or heart disease than many regions of the world, especially the West. The contrast between the Asian Diet and the Western diet is the key reason for this.
What you will find on this website is divided into the categories of Asian Diet, Fitness & Exercise, and Recipes. These categories are displayed on the navigation bar just under the top header image. Above the top header image you will find the “Home” link and my bio page.
Asian Diet – Here you will find information on the health benefits of the Asian Diet. Various foods that are common to the Asian Diet are discussed with the most important health benefits of each explained. Our research into the natural sources of all the nutrients our bodies need to be healthy and fit are included here.
Fitness & Exercise – The purpose of this category is to offer the most efficient exercise methods for attaining and maintaining a healthy body at an ideal weight. No nonsense exercise machines or “fad” routines will be included. Only well proven exercise methods that will give you the body form and energy levels that you deserve without wasting time and money on fancy equipment or gym memberships. If everyone knew how easy it was to be fit and trim, the commercial fitness experts, equipment manufacturers, and gyms would have far less revenue.
Recipes – Simple and delicious meal ideas for you to use the same way we did to get our bodies into top shape and health. My husband lost 20 kg. (44 lbs.) in 6 months by eating foods prepared with these recipes. He was never hungry and lost all of this weight without using any exercise program, only the change in his diet. This area will continue to grow as we get these recipes properly documented to publish for you.
So browse the site and be sure to provide comments and share this with your friends. We are always looking for new ideas and hope you will participate. We are also always open to any suggestions you have that will help us to make this website as useful to you as possible.
Best Regards,
Dina
